The Defining Sound of Summer is ‘Wasted’
No matter the summer events Wasted is sure to have everyone in a good mood and ready to dance. When I first experinced the track I could not help but imaging myself somewhere on a tropical beach adventure with a cocktail in hand. The infectious beat was produced by Daniel Bartley Jr. and written by Hazel Mulan.
The fast and upbeat tempo of the track really makes you want to get up and move your hips. Mulan starts off by stating “You know I can take you to a place you want to go.” The sounds that are effortlessly brought together by her vocals, adlibs, and the enigmatic nature of the beats truly transports you to an oasis - think the amazon rain forest where you discover a siren singing you the most embellished dance track you cannot live without.
